Organizing Coupons

Some of my friends think I'm coupon crazy, but that is okay with me. They'll probably get some laughs out of this. It all started with a few coupons, but the stash and my storage methods kept getting bigger.

Beginner
I had no idea what I was getting myself into with coupons.

-My wallet
-A little baggie in my purse
-A small wallet size organizer in my purse

Big Leagues
I had so many coupons, they were taking up my whole purse and making it really hard to dig out my wallet. I couldn't ever find what I was looking for either.

-One inch binder
Clear sheet protectors for each letter as well as a section for grocery, and animal care (I just kept it in the car and took out what I needed before I went in a store.)

-Plastic File Storage Tote
I using hanging file folders, labeled by category, to keep all my coupons, ad, and related papers in. My tote also has a storage compartment in the top where I keep scissors, pens, notepad, etc. I also have a small coupon organizer in my purse, sorted by store/group, for coupons I plan on using soon.

Files
  • Animal Care

  • Medicine

  • Rebate Info/Receipts

  • Grocery-Cereals/Breads, Dairy, Dressing/Seasoning, Drinks, Meat/Eggs, Pre-made Meals/kits, Veggies/Fruit, Snacks/Sweets

  • A-Z files for all other
